I decided to choose the Black Lives Matter movement because it’s a very sensitive but important topic to me. After watching Roberto Romano’s video of childhoods getting stolen it made me think about all of the young black children’s lives who got killed due to gunshots from the police. Both of these are still ongoing problems that we are facing in the world today. The Black Lives Matter movement is effective in communicating its message because there would be black outs, marches and even celebrities who voiced their opinion on what we need to do to fix this problem. As a country we haven’t fully fixed this problem but due to a lot of people standing up for this movement we were able to get our word across to the world and hold it to a higher standard compared to what it was held to.
