Photographers have the power to evoke change by visually capturing what’s going on in the world in order to share it across the globe. Paula Bronstein is a photo journalist who started her passion of photography in 1982. With the US troops being recently pulled from Afghanistan, this Southern Asia country is dominating the news. Bronstein started photographing Afghanistan back in 2001 and documented the country up until the Taliban’s final takeover. Her work shows the beauty and then destruction of the country, including the elderly and sick who were forgotten in the war.
